PROGRAMS
We invest in people. Our programs create hands-on ways for students, young professionals, and community members to learn how policy works, build confidence as advocates, and move ideas into action for Hawaiʻi’s food future.

Our Approach to Learning
At Food+, we know that stepping into policy can feel overwhelming, so we create programs that make the process approachable, hands-on, and community-centered.
Participants learn by doing: tracking bills, practicing research, and engaging with peers and community voices. Along the way, we provide structure, guidance, and reflection so that even those new to advocacy can build confidence and clarity.
By weaving together practical experience, supportive mentorship, and values rooted in Hawaiʻi’s ʻāina and communities, our programs prepare participants to take meaningful first steps into food policy while also laying a foundation they can continue to grow from.
